Fishing guide Johnnie Candle gives his latest Carrabelle Florida fishing report on November 21st, 2024.

Carrabelle Florida Fishing Report: 11-21-24

The Carrabelle Florida fishing has been awesome fishing this past month. Anglers can expect to catch lots of sea trout and eater sized redfish inshore. For the sea trout look for expansive weed flats. Most of the fish are coming in the bare pockets of the weed flats. A 1/8 ounce up to 1/2 ounce jig paired with a Big Bite Baits Scentsation Slim Minnow has been the ticket. Anglers can expect to find tons of eater redfish on docks. A shrimp or livebait under a popper cork has been the best way to catch them.

Reef fishing has been good. Anglers should expect to catch a variety of snappers and groupers. There are plenty of sharks around as well. For the snappers, free-lining cut bait and live shrimp have been our two best baits.

There aren’t a ton of bull red fish around yet but it won’t be long before they begin to show up on structure inshore like shallow sand flats, oyster bars, and reefs.

The weather looks good in the upcoming forecast and the fish should continue to bite good. Good luck to any anglers fishing in or near Carrabelle, Florida! If you want to plan a trip I’ve got some dates available.
