Carrabelle Florida: 11-21-2023
The inshore fishing has been fantastic in the Gulf of Mexico near Carrabelle Florida. We’ve been catching lots of snappers, redfish, and a variety of other species.
Redfish can be caught in the inshore and in the rivers. Look for redfish under boat docks as well. Anglers can expect to catch a number of redfish with a few bull reds beginning to show up. Live bait under a popping cork has been the best presentation.
Sea trout are getting tougher to find because of the cooling water, but they can still be caught in very shallow water and in areas that have a dark bottom.
You will catch plenty of snappers and groupers if you fish near-shore structures.
The best baits have been shrimp on a plain hook or a jig paired with a Berkley Gulp. You can pretty much catch anything on shrimp and a hook.
As the water temps continue to cool the fishing is only going to get better for big bull redfish. Plan a trip and enjoy some of the great fishing the Gulf has to offer.
