Mack Peters of Slab Seeker Fishing gives his latest Buzz Bite Report on the Lake Superior tributaries on the south shore on May 6th, 2023.
Lake Superior South Shore Tributaries Report: 5-6-23
Unfortunately water levels continue to be really high on all of the south shore tributaries of Lake Superior and it’s not really fishable.
It will probably take a while for the water levels to drop back down again, but once they do there should be a few steelhead still biting.
As far as the North shore is concerned things are looking good and some steelhead are being caught. Most of the tributaries South of Silver Bay are looking great and have decent numbers of fish in them.
Most of rivers North of Silver Bay have fish in them, but are flowing fast and have high water levels.
Beads, yarn flies, spawn sacs, nymphs, looper bugs, and spinners should be your go to presentations.
Good luck to all the anglers fishing the Lake Superior tributaries on the South and North shore!
