Saskatchewan Fishing Buzz Bite Report 12-29-2022

The walleyes are biting up here in Saskatchewan. The ice conditions are good and most lakes in our area have anywhere from fourteen to seventeen inches of ice.

Still use caution when venturing out, because no ice is 100% safe.

Last Mountain, Pasqua Lake, Echo lake and others in the area are all producing lots of fish.

Look for walleyes on main lake points and humps in depths between fifteen to twenty five feet of water. Primetime hours early in the morning and late in the afternoon have been best, but you can still expect to catch fish consistently throughout the day.

Spoons tipped with minnow heads and Rapala Jigging Raps are producing a majority of our fish.

Anglers should expect to catch northern pike, perch, and ciscos along with the walleyes.

They is also a good northern pike bite in some of the shallow weedy bays in less than ten feet of water. Set lines are producing a majority of those fish.

Right now is a great time to plan a trip to enjoy some of the incredible Saskatchewan fishing. Good luck to all the anglers fishing!
