Mille Lacs Lake Walleye Buzz Bite Report 12-13-22

The Mille Lacs Lake walleye fishing is in full swing. Ice conditions vary but we’ve found a number of places with seven to nine inches of ice.

As always, use extreme caution when venturing out.

Overall the walleye bite has been great. We are catching lots of nice fish with a few bigger ones mixed in. The best bite has been during the morning and later in the afternoon, but the are still plenty of fish being caught throughout the day.

Target the first break line anywhere from fourteen to nineteen feet of water. Most of the fish we’ve been catching have been between thirty and fifty feet away from the bottom of the break.

Our best jigging bait has been the Northland Buck Shot Coffin Spoon in the UV green color. Dead sticks and set lines with shiner minnows are also producing a lot of fish.

If you guys are looking to get out give me a call or schedule a trip through my website. Good luck and be safe for all those heading out into Mille Lacs Lake!
