Metro Area Fishing Buzz Bite Report 8-10-2022
We got some much needed rain over the past week and the water temps actually dropped a few degrees in the Metro area. Most lakes have water temps around the mid to low seventies. The fishing has been good and consistent.
The fish are where they are supposed to be.
Depending on the lake the largemouth bass can be found anywhere from two to twenty six feet of water.
You can catch them up really shallow in the heavy cover on frogs or punch baits. The same deep weed line bite continues to be really good for largemouth bass as well.
You can use a number of different presentations to catch these deep weed line bass. Ned rigs, jig worms, tubes, and finesse bass jigs all produced numbers of nice bass.
The panfish can still be caught along the weed lines on small jigs paired with plastics.
Good luck to all the anglers fishing in the Metro Area!
