Bemidji Area Musky Buzz Bite Report 8-24-2022

The musky fishing has been on fire up here in the Bemidji area. Water temps are in the low seventies on most of our lakes in the area.

We’ve been seeing lots of fish on shallow structure in less than twelve feet of water. Look for main lake points, weed beds, sunken islands and main lake rock reefs to be holding fish.

A few fish can be found in the bulrushes as well.

The bite windows have been key. Make sure to hit your high percentage spots during sunrise/sunset, moonrise, and major and minor feeding windows. Most of our fish have bit during those times.

Burning bucktails and topwater baits have produced a majority of our fish. The Bemidji area musky fishing is only going to get better as we progress into fall.

Good luck to all the anglers up musky fishing the Bemidji area lakes!
