Central Wisconsin Buzz Bite Report 8-1-2022

The panfish bite has been awesome in Central Wisconsin. We’ve been catching numbers of big bluegills on several lakes in the area.

These fish have moved from those shallow bays and weed lines and can now be found on the deep flats.

Utilizing your electronics is key to finding the roaming schools. Focus on flats in the 10 to 15 foot depth range.

Once you have them located small jigs paired with plastics or live bait will work. You can also use slip bobbers or drop shots as well.

These fish will continue to roam these flats for the next few weeks or so and the bite should be pretty consistent. There is a good chance of catching a few northern pike and bass as well in the same area as the bluegills.

Good luck to all the anglers out fishing in Central Wisconsin!
