Duluth Superior Area Buzz Bite Report 6-28-2022

Everything is biting up in the Duluth Superior area. Smallmouth bass, walleyes, northern pike, bluegills, and crappies are all biting well.

Water temps are in the mid to low seventies on most of the lakes and rivers in our area.

On the St. Louis River we are catching fish trolling crankbaits and spinners along the shallow flats and along the channel edges.

Our best trolling speed has been between 2 and 2.5 miles per hour.

Lake Superior has a solid trolling bite happening right now for lake trout and salmon. Most of those fish are coming near the Two Harbors area.

Flasher fly combos, and stickbaits and spoons on down riggers has been the go to presentation.

On some of our inland lakes the panfish and northern pike have moved out to the deeper weed line.

Good luck to all the anglers fishing the Twin Ports area!
