Northern Minnesota Buzz Bite Report 3-24-2022
The fishing has continued to be good in northern Minnesota. Anglers can expect to catch lots of bluegills, jumbo perch, and crappies.
Almost all of the lakes that have good panfish numbers have a good bite going on right now.
Most of the fish can be found between eight and eighteen feet of water.
For the crappies and bluegills small tungsten jigs like the Northland Gill Getter and the Northland Mud Bug jig have been working great. Pair these jigs with either live bait or a plastic.
We have been using a lot of the smaller Bro Bug spoons for the perch.
There are some slush spots out on the ice, so I’d recommend using track machines only when traveling out onto the lakes.
Good luck to those anglers out ice fishing in Northern Minnesota and be safe!
