Walleyes on the half shell is a simple, but yet delicious recipe that is very easy to make and is perfect for the whole family.
Walleyes on the Half Shell
What you will need:
-Some fresh caught walleye (about 1 fillet per person)
- salt and pepper to taste
- lemon pepper
- cilantro
- zesty Italian dressing
- lemon juice/ a fresh lemon
To start, begin by filleting your walleyes.
Remove the ribs and and the pin bones, but leave the skin on. Once you deboned your walleye fillets, turn the grill onto a medium-high heat (350-400 degrees).
While your grill is heating up, seasons the fillets with lemon pepper, cilantro, zesty Italian, salt and pepper.
Place the fillets onto the grill with the skin down. Once they are cooked, squeeze some lemon juice onto the half shells and enjoy!
This simple but tasty recipe goes great paired with fresh vegetables or sweet corn.
