Northern Wisconsin Buzz Bite Report 1-4-2022

Right now we’ve got six to ten inches on most lakes depending on where you go. Some lakes have some slush on the ice, but overall it isn’t too bad and you are able to get around on 4wheelers and snowmobiles.

There has been really good fishing the last couple weeks, with lots of good panfish action.

You can find schools of panfish roaming the deeper basins, but you can also find these fish along the first break in fifteen to twenty feet of water. There are also some schools that can be found in the weeds.

Small tungsten jigs paired with a wax worm will work great. You can also use small spoons or small crappie minnows.

The walleye bite has been a little tougher. You really need to be fishing during those prime times or after dark in order to catch a few fish. Make sure to have a mix of set lines and jigging setups.

You can expect to catch good numbers of northern pike during the day. Tip up’s along the weed line rigged with shiners or sucker minnows will produce fish.

We’ve got lots of the ice season ahead of us so make sure you guys get out there have some fun and get hooked up!
