Remote Northern Manitoba Ice Fishing for Trout

by

Ice fishing season is finally upon us! Last week Jay Siemens and Alex Peric headed deep into Manitoba’s Northern Region to the literal end of the road past Lynn Lake. It was here they finally found safe walk-on ice!

Remote Northern Manitoba Ice Fishing for Trout

After the long journey they made it to a remote Northern Manitoba stocked trout lake. This is where they began targeting big brookies though sight holes! Using the Lynn Inn as a home base Jay and Alex were able to treat themselves to a warm meal and a comfy bed each night. Check out the video to watch this epic journey leading them to the northern wilderness for some Manitoba Ice Fishing.

Remember to always exercise extreme caution on early season Ice, and have all the appropriate safety equipment on hand at all times. Ice picks, a throw rope, and ice cleats are just a few of the essential safety items you should bring out for first ice.
