Devils Lake Fishing Report: 10-23-24
It’s the best time of year. Ducks and geese are moving and the fishing has been great out on Devils Lake. We are finally starting to get some colder water temperatures and that has really gotten the walleyes biting. Anglers can also expect to run into some northern pike.
Devils Lake Fishing Report: Walleyes

Walleyes can be found on their classic fall spots. A lot of times those community spots are really good and there aren’t many anglers out fishing. Current areas have been really good as well. Bridges and larger culverts have been holding numbers of walleyes. The key has been the current. Jigs and plastics or jigs paired with minnows has been the ticket.
Trolling lead core off of the road beds has also been incredibly effective. Perch, green, and silver have been some of the better colored crankbaits. Some other key areas to find walleyes include Rocky point and Cactus point. The walleye fishing is getting better and better each day. If you want to catch a ton of fish with the chance at some real big ones, make your way over to Devils Lake.
