Northern Wisconsin Buzz Bite Report 10-25-2022

The lakes have turned over, water temps are in the high forties on most of the Hayward area lakes and the fish are definitely in their late fall patterns.

The musky fishing has been good over the past couple weeks. Look for muskies on green weed lines in four to fifteen feet of water. Main lake points are also holding a few fish.

About half of the anglers are casting big rubber baits, like tubes and Bulldawgs, and the other half are using big sucker minnows.

Walleyes can be found in the deep water structure anywhere from thirty to forty feet. Jig and minnow presentations have been working great.

Slip bobbers with minnows are also catching a few.

Smallmouth bass can be found on the rocky shorelines and shelves in fifteen to twenty feet of water. Slow rolling big swimbaits has been the ticket.

Look for crappies in the mud basins or along the sharp break lines anywhere from twenty-five to thirty-five feet of water. Small jigs, small jigging spoons or sized 3 Rapala Jigging Raps will catch a number of fish.

Good luck to all the anglers fishing in Northern Wisconsin!
