Northern Minnesota Buzz Bite Report 9-7-2022

The fall bite is beginning to heat up in Northern Minnesota around the Leech, Winnie and Cass Lake area. Everything is biting. We are catching lots of panfish, walleyes, northern pike, and bass.

On most of our area lakes you can find walleyes, northern pike and bass in nine to fourteen feet of water. Look for them along the weed lines.

We are catching them on jigs and plastics, spinners with crawlers, and slip bobbers.

Perch can be caught in and along the weed/sand flats in less than twelve feet of water on a small Northland thumper jigs paired with a fathead minnow.

Crappies are beginning to move out into the basins on most lakes. Look for them in twenty to twenty-five feet of water. Small jigs paired with plastics have been catching lots of fish.

Good luck to all the anglers fishing in Northern Minnesota. Have fun and be safe!
