Lake Winnebago Buzz Bite Report 6-8-2022

We’ve been chasing crappies on Lake Winnebago and these fish have really started to show up in the channels in large numbers.

You can catch them on a number of different baits like small hair jigs, crappie minnows or a jig and small plastic.

Look for warm water that has hard structure like docks, piers, or rocky shorelines. Most of the fish are going to be in six feet of water or less with a lot of fish in the 2 to 4 foot depth range.

In the morning these fish are generally going to be tight to the structure, but as the water warms up some fish may move towards the middle of the channels.

This bite will continue to be good for the next week or so, so make sure to get out and enjoy it.

Good luck to all the anglers out fishing!
