Lake Winnipeg Buzz Bite Report 2-7-2022

The fishing has been pretty good out here on Lake Winnipeg over the past few weeks.

We have been catching fish from five to thirteen feet of water. You really have to finesse them into biting, but anglers can expect to catch a nice amount of good sized greenbacks.

Spoons tipped with minnows have been working well, but you can catch them on rattle baits as well. Live minnows have really been the ticket.

We are almost have three feet of ice, so it’s almost time to pull out the auger extensions. As far as lake access goes, trucks are do-able, but I’d recommend using a snowmobile or some other type of track machine.
