Saskatchewan Buzz Bite Report 1-26-22

We had some really cold temperatures over the past few weeks, but it has began to warm up over the past few days. The fishing has been good with lots of perch and walleyes being caught.

The river is open and following between Pasqua and Echo lake and it’s got the fish fired up and eating.

During the day you can expect to catch perch, ciscos and pike with the occasional walleye.

The best walleye bites have been during the primetime hours in the morning and late in the afternoon.

Spoons tipped with minnow heads or Jigging Raps seem to be working well for all species.

Please use extreme caution when heading out onto the ice. Because of the moving water and current some spots will not be safe for vehicle travel.

Good luck and be safe to all the anglers heading out onto the ice in southern Saskatchewan!
