Beltzville Lake (Eastern Pennsylvania): 2-26-2023
We’ve had unseasonable warm weather over here in Eastern Pennsylvania and the bass are biting on Beltzville Lake. Water temps are between forty and forty-three degrees. The lake is still pretty cold, but bass can be caught on a number of different presentations.
Damiki rigs, small swimbaits, blade baits, and mid-range diving crankbaits will all work to catch fish.
Target bass between ten to fifteen feet of water. The fish are pretty schooled up right now so if you can find one more should be close by.
Focus your efforts on main lake points and look for schools of baitfish. If you can find the baitfish there should be bass in the area.
As the water continues to warm up the bite should only improve as we begin to transition into spring.
