Live bait fishing is a popular and effective technique for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you’re targeting walleye, pike, bass, or panfish, using live bait can often entice more bites and increase your chances of success. In this article, we’ll explore some tips and strategies for live bait fishing based on the latest angling buzz fish reports.

Finding Productive Weed Lines

One common approach to live bait fishing is working an entire weed line. While this can be effective if the weed line is productive, it’s not always the best strategy. Angler Matt explains that if he’s not catching anything after going 20-40 yards down a weed line, he prefers to move on to another spot. Instead, he looks for more abrupt pieces of structure on the weed line, such as inside turns, underwater points, and deeper weed clumps. These areas can often hold more fish and provide better opportunities for success.
