Jake is an avid outdoorsman who grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota and spent most of his free time fishing and hunting with his dad and two brothers. After high school, he attended Beloit College where he played lacrosse all 4 years and double majored in Business Economics and Environmental Studies. He got his first taste of the outdoor media industry during his junior year of college when he completed an internship at In-Fishermen with Jeff Simpson. Following college graduation, he worked for Forklifts of Minnesota doing Sales for two years. He joined the Lindner Media team in August of 2020 working as a digital editor along with hosting the online series AnglingBuzz Ice. Besides spending time with his family, friends, and wife Janell, Jake’s favorite leisure activities include chasing Steelhead and Brown trout on the Great Lakes tributaries, traveling, snowmobiling, and duck hunting.
