Southern Saskatchewan Buzz Bite Report 2-15-22

We have been getting a decent amount of snow in Southern Saskatchewan near the Fort Qu’Appelle area. Due to the snow, venturing off the plowed roads is difficult unless you have a track machine or snowmobile.

For the anglers that are getting out, there has been a decent bite during the primetime hours for walleyes.

The first few hours in the morning and last couple hours in the evening have been the most consistent feeding times.

During the day you can expect to catch plenty of northern pike, ciscos and perch.

Spoons tipped with minnow heads or Jigging Raps seem to be working well for all species. For the northern pike, set lines seem to be producing the most.

Please use extreme caution when heading out onto the ice. Good luck fishing!
