Saskatchewan Fishing Buzz Bite Report 11-1-2022

Over the past week or so we got a some snow and the water temps have really drop across all of Saskatchewan. Water temps are in the mid to high thirties on a lot of lakes.

Most anglers have put their boats away for the year, but the few that are still getting out are being reward with some great Saskatchewan fishing.

Tobin lake and Last Mountain lake are producing some really big walleyes right now. Jigs paired with minnows seem to be the best presentation, but you can also catch a few on crankbaits.

Anglers can also expect to catch lake trout in most of the northern lakes in the Provence.

Spoons, big rubber baits, and crankbaits will all produce lake trout. Target those fish along rocky structure that has access to deep water.

One thing anglers should begin to prepare for is the early ice walleye bite. Usually it’s around the first or second week of December and the fishing is incredible. Anglers should expect to catch lots walleyes with plenty of +24 inch sized fish in the mix.

Now is a great time to plan a trip to enjoy some of the incredible ice fishing Saskatchewan has to offer!
