Northern Wisconsin Buzz Bite Report 9-20-2022

It’s finally feeling like fall up here in Northern Wisconsin. Water temps are in the high sixties on most lakes in our area and they will continue to drop with these colder nights.

Overall the fishing is good and is only going to get better as we get further into fall.

Bluegills and crappies can be found in the basins in fifteen to twenty five feet of water on most lakes. Small jigs paired with plastics, drop shots, or a size #3 Rapala Jigging Rap will catch numbers of nice panfish.

Big northern pike and largemouth bass can be caught on the weed lines in big swimbaits. Look for the greenest and tallest standing weeds, because that’s where you are going to find the biggest schools of northerns, bass, and walleyes.

For the most part the walleyes are still pretty spread out across basins, main lake structure, and a few fish are still out roaming over deep water.

Good luck to all the anglers fishing in Northern Wisconsin. Get out there and get hooked up!
