Northern Minnesota Buzz Bite Report 10-13-2022

The walleyes are biting up here in Northern Minnesota. There is a great shallow water walleye bite on Leech, Cass, Winnie, and Lake Bemidji.

Look for those fish on sand flats and wind swept points in eight to twelve feet of water. Jigs paired with minnows or Lindy Rigs with big creek or redtail chubs.

If you are having a tougher time in shallow, slide out into that fourteen to twenty five foot range.

Overall the morning and day bite has been decent, but the best bite has been later into the evening and after dark.

Panfish can be caught in and along the basins in twenty to thirty feet of water. Small jigs paired with plastics or smaller sized puppet minnows will work great.

Bass and northern pike can be caught in the standing green weed beds. Most fish are anywhere from four to twelve feet of water.

Moving baits like spinnerbaits, crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, and jigs and paddle-tails have all been producing fish.

Good luck to all the anglers fishing in Northern Minnesota!
