Metro Area Fishing  Buzz Bite Report 9-21-2022

We are starting to see that transition from late summer to early fall patterns and the metro area fishing has been very good.

This is the time of the year that I like to move shallower and look for standing green weed beds in four to eight feet to find numbers of largemouth bass.

There are a bunch different presentations that will work. You can throw moving baits, like spinner baits, chatter baits, rattle baits, and shallow diving square bills. You can also pitch jigs into heavier cover or work swim baits across the tops of the weeds. You can also catch them throwing jig worms and ned rigs.

You can catch largemouth bass a lot of different ways and the bite should only get better in the next few weeks.

Crappies can be found schooled up off the weed lines or in the shallow basins anywhere from fifteen to twenty five feet of water.

Drop shots will work great for those fish, but you can also catch them on small jigs under a slip bobber or on small vertical jigging baits.

Good luck fishing in the Metro Area lakes!
