Leech Lake Buzz Bite Report 9-1-2022

Right now we’ve got water temps in the mid seventies on Leech Lake and that’s actually some of the warmest water we’ve seen all year.

The baitfish are still shallow and that walleyes and muskies are as well.

Look for walleyes along the sand flats in Walker Bay in ten to twelve feet of water. On the main lake check a little deeper anywhere from ten to twenty feet of water along the edges of main lake structure.

During the flat, calm conditions slip bobbers have been the best presentation. You can catch some walleyes by pulling spinners or crankbaits as well.

Muskies can be caught on the shallow rocks and on main lake structure in less than fifteen feet of water.

Burning blades or slow topwater baits will move some fish. Make sure to fish your best spots during feed windows and other prime times.

Good luck to all the anglers out fishing on Leech Lake this week or on Labor Day weekend!
