We are still in the beginning stages of the ice season and the bite on lake superior is going well. Anglers are catching a mixed bag of splake, brown trout, salmon and whitefish on Chequamegon bay. Inland anglers are catching crappies over deep basins on small tungsten jigs and northern pike, walleye and bass can be had on tip ups with sucker or shiner minnows.

My name is Caleb Wistad and I primarily fish in the northwest region of Wisconsin, both on the open water and the ice, including lake Superior, Lake Michigan, the Mississippi river, inland lakes, streams, small rivers, and reservoirs.  I target nearly 30 different species of the bounty of fish that Wisconsin has to offer throughout the year.

I am committed to finding new and unique ways to effectively target specific, and multi-species, bites and bringing them to you on several platforms so you can use those methods as well.

Whether it’s jigging up lake trout through the ice over 100′ of crystal clear Lake Superior water, casting swimbaits for walleyes on a natural lake, or fly fishing for stream trout in a tiny spring creek, we are going to get hooked up!
