Fishing guide Jason Mitchell of Jason Mitchell Outdoors gives his latest Buzz Bite Report for Lake of the Woods on February 21st, 2022.

Lake of the Woods Buzz Bite Report 2-21-22

We’ve been fishing over on Lake of the woods the past few days and the bite has been really good.

We’ve been catching a lot of walleyes, saugers, and ciscos.

Anglers can expect to run into a lot of eater sized fish between ten and twenty inches long with a few larger fish mixed in. There has been a lot of action throughout the day. Our best depths have been between twenty-eight and thirty-two feet of water.

Spoons tipped with minnow heads have been our best jigging baits. The best colors have been gold, UV green, and wonderbread.

A fair amount of fish are coming on deadsticks as well. Make sure to bring both if you plan on coming up to LOTW.

You can expect this bite to continue to be good throughout the remainder of the season.

Good luck to all the anglers out ice fishing this week!
