Weather has driven the bite this week. Stable weather patterns produced some of the best fishing of the year once again. Quality catches and larger fish were caught as our weekly client photos show. However, we also had last week weather systems moving through the area with the following cold fronts that did produce a down turn in our catches on those days – both in numbers of fish and in the overall size of the fish.

Fishing on Devils Lake in September, you will see less boats on the water and far more waterfall in the air. The leaves are just starting to change and the fall colors should be the best here these next two weeks.

Simply put, this is a great time to spend a few more days fishing on the water. The fall bite here on Devils Lake can result in the best quality fishing available with the potential for that fall trophy walleye or pike. We have guides and lodging packages available through October so give us a call! Fall fishing at its finest!
