Devils Lake Buzz Bite Report 6-28-2022

Right now we’ve got high water on Devils Lake. The water is up about two and a half feet. With that being said the water temps are in the mid sixties on the main lake and the fishing has been excellent.

Right now you can catch fish a bunch of different ways, but I’d say it is still predominantly a casting bite.

A good number of the fish are going to be in less than ten feet of water. Look in the shallow bays, along any flooded timber, and along the rocky shorelines.

Anglers can expect to find walleyes, northern pike, and white bass near schools of bait in shallow.

Slip bobbers, crankbaits, and jigs & plastics or jigs & minnows have been catching fish.

The bite should continue to be good for the next few weeks, but as the water temps continue to rise those fishing are going to slide out to some deeper structure, so keep that in mind.

Good luck to all the anglers out fishing on Devils and across North Dakota!
