Brainerd Lakes Area Buzz Bite Report 6-20-2021

by

The Brainerd lakes area bite has continued to be good over the past week. Trolling the weed lines and weed flats in five to fifteen feet of water has been the ticket for walleye, pike, bass, and panfish.

Spinner rigs with crawlers or soft plastics has accounted for a majority of our pike and bass and a few walleyes. Casting spinnerbaits has also been working well.

We have also found some nice smallmouth bass on the rocks in five to fifteen feet of water, and a few that are suspended over deep water.

The walleyes have really been scattered lately and we have been finding them on gravel flats in six to fourteen feet of water. There are also a decent number of fish spread out on the main lake structure in 22 to 28 feet of water.

Slip bobbers with leeches continue to produce the best results.

There is also a good opportunity night trolling along the flats for walleyes on some of these clearly bodies of water. Smithwick Floating Rogues and Rapala Shad Raps have been our go to baits.

If you guys are looking to get out you can book a trip through my website or you can give me a call. Good luck out there on the water!
