Brainerd Lakes Area Buzz Bite Report 2-14-2022

We have have been finding walleyes in twenty-two to twenty-eight feet of water along the deeper breaks. Try to focus on the edges of deep weeds or along a main lake point. Those areas seem to be holding the most fish.

The best bite window has been during the primetime hours early in the morning and late in the afternoon.

Spoons tipped with minnow heads are working well. We have also gotten a few fish on set lines with shiners, suckers and large fathead minnows.

Crappies are roaming the basins and can be found in twenty to forty-five feet of water. They are usually suspended halfway down typically in depths of twenty-two to twenty-six feet of water.

Small spoons or tungsten jigs will work great. You can also catch some fish on a deadstick with crappie minnows.

If you guys are looking to get out fishing in the Brainerd Lakes Area or on Mille Lacs Lake you can book a trip through my website or you can give me a call. Good luck out on the ice and be safe!
