Duluth Superior Area Buzz Bite Report 6-18-2021

by | Jun 21, 2021 | 0 comments

There is a lot happening right on in the Duluth Superior area.

Lake Superior has got a bite going on right now surface trolling hot colored stick baits.

Bright pink, orange, and chartreuse have been the best colors. Guys are finding good numbers of coho salmon and lake trout along with a few walleyes.

Focus on trolling around the mud lines along the shore for the best success.

There is still a really good bite happening on the St. Louis river. Slow death trolling crawlers is producing a bunch of walleyes.

The best depths have been in two to ten feet of water along the edge of the channels and along the flats. We have a lot of fresh vegetation starting to spread out to so that’s something to keep an eye on.

On a lot of our trips we are also getting bonus fish like catfish, big perch, some smallmouth bass and the occasional musky.

The inland lakes have good bites going on them as well. The bluegills are in the middle of their spawn. Some fish have already wrapped up and moved out to the first weed line and some are still on beds.

Night crawlers under a bobber has been the best method to target them.

You know there is just a ton happening in the Duluth Superior area right now. Come make your way up here and enjoy the great bites happening right now.
